Professor Hartman graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1964.  From that date he has practised osteopathy at various clinics establishments working along side Doctors, Orthopaedic Surgeons, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors.  The author had until very recently his own multi-disciplinary practice which was founded over 43 years   Professor Hartman has taught Osteopathic Technique and Techniques since 1964 both at undergraduate and post graduate levels at British Osteopathic Schools, Colleges and Universities as well as to world wide manual therapy Universities, Conferences, Institutes and Colleges.  His experience takes him to 17 countries so far ago.

He has experience in giving second opinions and treatments on a wide variety of patients from across the broad spectrum of musculoskeletal care.
  
He also has experience as an expert witness in cases of ethical and professional incompetence before The General Osteopathic Council, Professional Conduct Committee and the Criminal Court
